Legendary Irish rock band U2 have confirmed a Las Vegas residency for this fall.
A special run of shows, titled “U2:UV Achtung Baby Live At The Sphere,” will see the band launch the new state-of-the-art venue MSG Sphere at The Venetian in Las Vegas.
This will mark the band’s first live outing in four years.
“U2 hasn’t played live since December 2019 and we need to get back on stage and see the faces of our fans again,” the band members said.
U2 drummer and founding member Larry Mullen Jr. will be missing in action as he needs time out to undergo and recuperate from surgery in 2023.
Bono, The Edge and Adam Clayton announced that drummer Bram van den Berg will sit in for Larry during the Las Vegas shows.

U2 released a full-length trailer announcement featuring a group of new and longtime U2 fans, along with a few band doppelgangers, coming together for a futuristic Achtung Baby adventure in a unique desert landscape.
