Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante is set to drop a Rush tribute EP, titled Moving Pitchers, on Record Store Day, Saturday, April 23.
The five-song EP Moving Pitchers, a play on the title of Rush’s classic 1981 album Moving Pictures, will be a limited release of 1,500 copies. The EP will include two tracks off Moving Pictures: “Red Barchetta” and “YYZ.” It will also feature “Subdivisions,” “Freewill” and “La Villa Strangiato.”
Benante teamed up with Testament guitarist Alex Skolnick, Suicidal Tendencies and Korn bassist Roberto “Ra” Díaz, Crobot vocalist Brandon Yeagley, and Trans-Siberian Orchestra keyboardist Mee Eun Kim for the project.
Moving Pitchers marks Benante’s second pandemic-era covers collection behind 2021’s Silver Linings.
