In comments to TMZ last weekend, Hoppus said, “Life’s great! I’m glad to be here” and “I’m just getting back out into it.”

“I most wanted to get back out into the studio and get back to playing music, and get off of my couch,” he added.

Hoppus was interviewed as he was walking out of a restaurant in West Hollywood with his wife Skye Everly on Saturday.

Hoppus expressed hope that he will be releasing new music soon, adding, “We’ll see if I can write something happy this time.”

“Enjoy each and every day,” was his message to the fans.
