The Black Keys have released a new song, “It Ain’t Over,” from their upcoming 11th studio album, Dropout Boogie, which is due to arrive on May 13, a day before the 20th anniversary of the band’s debut LP, The Big Come Up.
Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney co-wrote “It Ain’t Over” with Reigning Sound‘s Greg Cartwright.
The song opens with a guitar riff after which a bass line the size of a monster truck starts rumbling down the center of the track. “Money and love ain’t no sure thing,” Auerbach sings, “You live for a thrill, you die for a dream.”
The group previously released “Wild Child,” the first single from the upcoming album.
