The Killers and Iggy Pop have decided to pull out of the Park Live Festival in Moscow this summer in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

“The festival appearance of Iggy Pop in Moscow on the 10th of July 2022 is canceled,” Pop announced on Twitter. “In light of current events, this is necessary.”

“Our thoughts are with the Ukrainians and all the brave people who oppose this violence and seek peace,” he added, with the hashtag #StandingWithUkraine.

The punk legend has been replaced with Otmeha, the festival’s official site shows.

Five Finger Death Punch, Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, My Chemical Romance, Sum 41, Gorillaz and Deftones are the bands remaining in the month-long Park Live Festival, spread across June and July.
